"Bursting Colors"

This is the result of our first interaction with primary colors.

The children had a fun sensory experience making new colors with shaving cream and glue.

After making pretend ice cream with the puffy paint some of the children took the exploration to a different direction, painting with it.

The children collaborate and respect each other during their play. Watching this group of 3 and 2 years old,  make me appreciate the spontaneity and simplicity of their interactions.

Today the children made and experiment mixing food colors with baking soda and vinegar .

The experience brought questions like, if we put a lot of "water"! vinegar? Why are the colors not mixing, if we see the bubbles, going up and up? Can we make the whole thing wet? Is it going to go all the way up?

It was a fun activity that intrigued the children giving a deeper meaning to the experience.
